Saturday afternoon, beautiful day. Came around a slippery curve at Poto a little hot, drifting off the trail and Wham! When the dust cleared I had picked up a big stick in the front wheel that launched me pretty good. Knocked my wind out for what seemed like a minute. Stood up, and left arm just hung there.
Thanks to the folks who walked out of the road with me and loaded my bike. One lady was a physical therapist and she was fashioned to sling from a space blanket. Drove me to the U of M emergency. Left collar is broken and overlapped by 3.5cm and 2 broken ribs.
Going back later this week to surgery.
Real * beep * because I was getting some good this summer.
Anyone have tips for recovery?
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
